Paste

Click Start, Control panel,
Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices

Click the
Adjust the system volume
link

Click the
Volume tab

Drag the slider to
the Low or High volume marks to
decrease or increase the sound volume

Click the
Mute check box to
turn off the sound

Click the
Mute check box to
turn the sound back on

Click the
Place volume icon in the
taskbar check box to display the speaker
icon on your taskbar

Click
OK

Drag the
volume slider for a device up or down to increase or
decrease the volume

Drag the
balance slider left or right to adjust the sound
balance for a device

To turn
off the sound, click the
Mute
check box

To turn
on the sound, click the
Mute
check box again

Click
Options,
then
Properties
to specify which devices appear in the window
-
Click
the
Playback
or
Recording
radio button to list the devices in either category
-
Click
the check box next to the desired device to have it
appear in the volume control window
