Viewing the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL)
Printing a configuration Report from Windows 95 or Windows 98
  • On the Desktop, right-click My Computer

  • In the context menu, click Properties

  • Click the Device Manager tab

  • Click Print

  • In the Print dialog box, select System Summary

  • Click OK

Printing a configuration report from Windows NT

  • In the Start menu, click Programs

  • In the Programs menu, click Administrative Tools (Common)

  • In the Administrative Tools submenu, click Windows NT Diagnostics

  • Click Print

  • Under Scope, click the All tabs radio button

  • Under Detail Level, click the Summary radio button

  • Under Destination, click the Default Printer radio button

  • Click OK

Starting the backup program from Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows 2000

  • In the Start menu, click Programs

  • In the Programs menu, click Accessories

  • In the Accessories submenu, click System Tools

  • In the System Tools submenu, click Backup

Starting the backup program from Windows NT
  • In the Start menu, click Programs

  • In the Programs menu, click Administrative Tools (Common)

  • In the Administrative Tools submenu, click Backup

Uncompressing a hard disk from Windows 95 or Windows 98
  • In the Start menu, click Programs

  • In the Programs menu, click Accessories

  • In the Accessories submenu, click System Tools

  • In the System Tools submenu, click DriveSpace

  • In the DriveSpace dialog box, select the compressed drive

  • In the Drive menu, click Uncompress
