Someone
in an organization who has the job of making sure

supposed to.

Network architecture:
The
method of transferring information on a network. All
devices on a network must use the same network
architecture to transmit and access information. The
most common forms of network architecture are
Ethernet and Token Ring.

Network interface card (NIC):
A
circuit board that controls the exchange of data
between a computer and the network.

Network printer:
A
printer accessed through a network and typically
shared by multiple users, often within one
department or area of an office.

Newsgroup:
An
online discussion.

Object graphic:
A
graphic made up of individually selectable objects.

Object linking and embedding (OLE):
A
compound document technology that allows an object
to be embedded or linked to a document in a
different application.

Operating system:
A
computer program that controls all of the basic
functions of a computer.

Outdent:
When the
first line of a paragraph is further left than the
rest of the paragraph. Usually used for lists.

Packets:
Blocks
of data.

Partition:
A
section of a hard drive that acts like a separate
disk or volume.
