• To create a new file using an application, click New in the application's File menu

• To save the file to the computer, click Save in the File menu, then specify the file's name and location

• To save a copy of the file with a new name or location, click Save As in the File menu, then specify a new name or location for the file

• In the File menu, click Print

• In the print dialog box, sex any options for printing, such as printing multiple copies or printing only a portion of the file

• Click OK to send the file to the printer

Closing and opening files

• To close a file and the application, click the close button at the top right of the windows

• To close a file without closing the application, select Close from the File menu

• To open a file from within the application, select Open from the File menu. Use the dialog box to find and open the file

• To open a file directly from a Desktop window, double-click the icon representing the file

Installing a program

• Click Start, then Control Panel

• Click Add or Remove Programs

• Click the Add New Programs button

• Click the CD or Floppy button, Insert the CD to other disk if you have not already done so

• Click the Next button

• Click the Finish button

Removing a program

• Click Start, then Control Panel

• Click Add or Remove Programs

• Click the Change or Remove Programs button

• In the list under currently installed programs, click the name of the program you want to remove

• Click Remove

• Click OK

Displaying the Help and Support Center window

• To display the Help and Support Center window, click the Start button, then click Help and Support
