• Click Start, Control Panel, User Accounts

• Click your user account

• Click the Set up my account to use .NET Passport link, then click Next

• Click the Yes radio button, then click Next

• Type your e-mail address, then click Next

• Type a password, then click Next

• Click Finish

• Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt

Getting help in the Command Prompt window

• Type HELP, then press Enter to find out which commands you can use

• Type the command name followed by a space and /? to find out how to use the command

Increasing the screen size of a Command Prompt window to full view

• Press and hold down the Alt key, then press Enter

Cycling through all open windows from a full view Command Prompt window

• Press and hold down the Windows key, then press Alt

• Press and hold down the Alt key, then press Enter

• Right-click the Title bar of the Command Prompt window, then select Properties from the context menu

• In the Colors tab, click the Screen text radio button and choose a color from the color bar in the middle of the dialog box. Click the Screen background radio button and choose a color for it in the same way

• In the Font tab, choose a font from the Font list and a text size from the Size list

• Click OK

• Type the dir command, then press Enter

• Right-click the Title bar of the Command Prompt window, then click Edit, then Mark from the context menu

• Highlight the text you want to copy by dragging your mouse over it, then press Enter

• Open the target document and in the Edit menu, click Paste
