One of the major advantages
of the NTFS file system that is designed for Windows XP
is that, unlike the older FAT file system, you can set
permissions at the file level in addition to the folder
level. This means, for instance, that you can choose to
make a shared folder accessible to everyone with read
and change permission, expert one file in the
shared folder that is read only. File level permissions
can be accessed in the Security tab of the shared file's
Properties dialog box. Be careful, however: file level
permissions can complicate things considerably. If
